Toyo offers four models, and the choice depends less on price than on the layout of the farmyard and barn. The compact loader is the narrowest model and can manoeuvre through stable aisles and narrow gateways. The wheel loader has a larger bucket and can handle more material per hour. The telescopic loader lifts higher — it can load onto a trailer where a wheel loader cannot reach. The electric loader produces no exhaust emissions, making it suitable for use where animals are present or in enclosed halls.
Roll bar or cab is the second question. The roll bar keeps the machine low — which is important for old barn ceilings and passageways — and is cheaper. The cab is worth it for anyone who drives all year round and for many hours at a time; the cab models have heating, windscreen wipers and lockable doors.
From a technical point of view, all Toyo loaders feature an articulated swing joint: all four wheels maintain contact with the ground, even on uneven terrain. The hydraulic quick-change system accommodates a bucket, pallet fork, sweeper or grapple without the need for tools. When it comes to attachments, therefore, it is not just the lifting capacity that matters, but also the hydraulic flow rate.
Some model ranges offer two engine options – Kubota or Yunnei – with the same power output but different prices. Which one makes more sense for you depends on how you intend to use it — ask us, and we’ll give you our honest opinion.
